In every corner of the cosmos, nothing, absolutely nothing, is beyond the principle of causality; each event, each state of things, is the result of a causal complexity. This principle is a vital irrefutable truth, a category of the human mind, an interpreter which is used by reason in its challenge for understanding and to know the world. If it is assumed that something in the cosmos escapes causality, then, for this reason, that something will have to be absolutely isolated; and for something to be isolated from the cosmos, it will have to be out, which is impossible by supposing within it.
